The World According To Damien
in a World gone mad – one sane voice emerges…

Damien on… Writers’ Agendas

In Britain, Russell T. Davies (“Doctor Who”, “Torchwood”) has a gay agenda.

In America, Aaron Sorkin (“The West Wing”, “The Newsroom”) has a liberal agenda.

Agendas are GOOD – they give writers PASSION.

That’s it.

Over and out.

  1. This is a case of someone (you in this case) stating something which ought to have been obvious to me. I now see that agenda is the essence of writing. No agenda = not good writer. Agenda = potentially good writer. Fact or fiction, same deal: persuade the reader of your world-view. Thanks.

  2. It has been said that reading a good writer’s piece tells you as much about THEM as it does their plot, characters, etc.
